Students from three sections of the Visual Communication course at AUBG, led by Prof. Desislava Ilieva-Miloucheva, recently stepped behind the scenes of broadcast media with a visit to the regional studio of the Bulgarian National Television (BNT).
The visit offered a unique opportunity for the students to experience firsthand how a TV emission and a talk show come to life. Long-term BNT experts shared valuable insights about the creative and technical processes behind television production, sparking curiosity and inspiration among the future media professionals.
In the studio’s museum corner, the students got a glimpse into the history of television technology, including a look at a fully functional colorful camera from the 1960s. The highlight of the trip was the chance to take on different roles in a TV studio environment—from operating cameras and lights, to sitting in the host’s chair.
This immersive experience not only deepened the students’ understanding of visual storytelling but also ignited their excitement about the dynamic world of the TV industry.
