AUBG is proud to announce an academic achievement by Professor Lucci, who, along with his colleagues Giuliana Di Biase (University of Chieti-Pescara) and Luisa Simonutti (Italian National Research Council), received a prestigious award from the Italian Ministry of Culture. Their journal, Studi Lockiani, was named one of the Italian Journals of Philosophy of the Year 2024.
Joining the ranks of esteemed publications such as Rivista di Storia della Filosofia, Giornale Critico della Filosofia Italiana, and Per la Filosofia, Studi Lockiani has solidified its reputation as a leading platform for scholarship on the thought and legacy of John Locke.
Despite being published in Italy, Studi Lockiani distinguishes itself by publishing articles in English, making it accessible to an international audience. Each year, the journal dedicates a monographic volume to a specific aspect of Locke’s philosophy and historical context, fostering in-depth exploration and dialogue among scholars worldwide.
For the 2024 edition, Professor Lucci serves as the editor of Volume 5, titled “Locke and Religion.” This forthcoming volume delves into Locke’s intricate engagement with religious themes and features an introduction by Professor Lucci, nine scholarly essays—including one authored by him—and an additional note.
The recognition by the Italian Ministry of Culture underscores the journal’s exceptional contribution to philosophical research and highlights the collaborative effort of its editorial team. Professor Lucci’s role as both editor and contributor reflects his deep commitment to advancing Locke studies and philosophical discourse at large.
AUBG congratulates Professor Lucci on this well-deserved honor and celebrates his dedication to academic excellence.
