The English Language Institute (ELI) at the American University in Bulgaria was honored at the Advantage and IELTS Partnership Awards Ceremony held on November 10, 2025, at the Residence of His Excellency Mr. Nathaniel Copsey, who has served in this role since his appointment in March 2024. The event brought together leading educational institutions, language centers, and partners whose work supports excellence in English language assessment and international education.
During the ceremony, ELI received a certificate of recognition and a commemorative plaquette, presented personally by His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Copsey, whose service has strengthened cultural and educational collaboration between the United Kingdom and Bulgaria, and by Mr. Abdi Hassan, whose leadership in the field of English language assessment continues to shape high-quality IELTS partnerships across the region.
This recognition reflects the remarkable achievements of the ELI community. It would not have been possible without the commitment and hard work of our IELTS test takers, whose determination to pursue academic and professional opportunities abroad continues to inspire us. Equally essential are our instructors, whose expertise, preparation, and dedication ensure that students enter the exam fully equipped to succeed.
The award underscores ELI’s ongoing mission: to provide world-class English language instruction and to open doors for learners who aspire to study and build careers on the global stage.
