AUBGers Dive into Real-World Strategic Management Contest with Re:benefit

In a celebration of academic success and real-world application of strategic management principles, Re:benefit, founded by AUBG alumni,  acknowledged the outstanding achievements of the students who participated in the Re:benefit business case competition. The company’s involvement with the course is becoming a tradition after the last year’s projects.

A total of 79 students, divided into groups of up to five people, embarked on a journey of strategic thinking and innovative problem-solving as part of the Strategic Management course, part of the Business Administration major. Their mission: to analyze and devise a strategic plan for the potential expansion of Re:benefit, a challenge that demanded not only academic acumen but also a deep understanding of market dynamics.

The competition brought students’ unique perspectives and skill sets to the table. After weeks of research and strategic planning, the top four teams emerged as the frontrunners, earning accolades and recognition for their exceptional efforts.

  1. Kiril Kolarov; Anusher Mahmadjonov; Martin Nedev; Yulvie Nuri
  2. Nikola Georgiev; Alexandra Dimitrova; Valentina Stoimenova; Stefan Mitev; Mahetap Khalifa
  3. Aleksandrina Andonova; Antonia Rusalieva; Ralitsa Nikova; Svetlozara Vitanova; Kristia Vasileva
  4. Aleksandar Kukolev; Ivan-Svetoslav Petrov; Veselina Laskova; Emilian Pramatarov; Emil Mandadjiev

The achievements of these students are a testament to their dedication and the quality of education at AUBG. The Re:benefit competition allowed them to apply classroom theories to a real-world business scenario, honing their strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

A Special Thanks

The success of this initiative wouldn’t have been possible without the guidance of Professor Elena Radeva, SPHR, who led and mentored the students throughout the competition. Her expertise in strategic human resource management undoubtedly played a crucial role in shaping the students’ strategic perspectives.

Heartfelt appreciation goes out to Re:benefit’s co-founders for providing this invaluable opportunity for AUBG students to engage with a live business case. The collaboration between academia and industry is essential for fostering a holistic learning experience, and Re:benefit has been a stellar example of this synergy.
