Celine Emma la Cour brings valuable experience within the fields of international relations, security and communications to the firm contributing to projects for sovereign and business clients by generating geopolitical analyses and risk assessments. Prior to joining Rasmussen Global, Celine came from a position at the European External Action Service in the Asia Pacific department. Celine’s past experiences include almost three years at the communication section of The Danish Defence, about two years for the International Secretariat of the Danish Parliament, and an internship at the Danish Embassy in Moscow. Celine also has experience as an independent freelancer working on security-related projects in the private sector and writing articles for Danish magazines mainly about Russia and European security. She is currently member of the board of the Danish Foreign Policy Society (U35) and she is co-founder of ‘Copenhagen Conference on Western-Russian Relations’. Celine holds an MA in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen and is specialised in international relations and conflict resolution. She wrote her MA thesis in collaboration with the German think tank ‘Peace Research Institute Frankfurt’ on the intersection between sanctions and civil mobilisation. Celine also studied communication for 1,5 years at the Danish School of Media and Journalism. She is fluent in English and Danish, she has excellent Spanish-skills after having spent one year in Mexico as an exchange student, and some proficiency in Russian.
