The Alumni Diaries | Vienna, Austria Vlog with Viktor Kharyton (‘22)

From one city to the next, “The Alumni Diaries” takes you inside the lives of AUBG alumni around the world through the places they now call home, the work they build, and the stories they carry forward.

Each stop in the series is a new city, a new story, and a new perspective on life after AUBG, told through the experiences of our beloved alumni. Previously, we took you to Tirana, Albania with Irdi Duka (’22), and to Vienna, Austria with Velichka Hristova (’98)

.

In Episode 3, we meet Viktor Kharyton (’22), who is a strategic communications expert and founder of STK Powerhouse in Vienna. His mission is, in his own words, “to make the words come together so that everyone is happy with them.”

Our journey begins at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, one of the oldest institutions of its kind in the world, and a natural continuation of Viktor’s journey after AUBG. Here, he tells us about his AUBG experience and the moments that defined his career.

At AUBG, Viktor found a community of like-minded people. He was drawn to politics and eventually ended up co-designing a Political Communication course from scratch, together with Professor Bobby Philips and another student.

“Everywhere you mention AUBG, somebody is from there. It’s an instant connection,” he shares.

Even his first job came through a fellow AUBG alumnus.

From lecture halls and reflections, we move outside the city and into Viktor’s other world: motorsports. “That’s the thing I do best after working,” he says. It’s a different kind of communication, but just as meaningful and formational,” he jokes.

Viktor’s journey is not a straight line. He continues to move on the fast lane, fuelled by the power of his AUBG experience and motivated by his two passions. Like many AUBG alumni, he carries forward something intangible he acquired while studying – a way of thinking, connecting, and navigating the world with brevity and adaptability.
