Business Experts Walk in the AUBG Classrooms

AUBG’s Business departments has been working hard on exploring “the new normal” after the online semesters students and faculty spent in front of their screens. Since the official back-on-campus semester last spring, we have been noticing a vast diversity of courses and professors becoming part of the list of 1-credit courses. Spring ’23 is opening the door of exciting business spheres thanks to the experts who will walk in to teach as 1-credit-course professors. Learn more about them below.

Prof. Maria Petrova

Topics in Management:
Managing Energy Transitions

Prof. Petrova is an alumna of the first class of AUBG where she studied Business Administration. Today, she is an assistant director of a Master’s degree program for environment and sustainability in Georgetown University. Upon graduating from AUBG, she pursued a Master’s degree in Marketing, Advertising and PR at the University of Sheffield in Greece and then defended a PhD on the topic of “Determinants of public opinion on renewable energy: The case of energy development in Oregon” at Oregon State University.

Dr. Slaveyko Djambazov

Dr. Slaveyko Djambazov

Topics in Management:
Value-Based Healthcare Management

Dr. Djambazov is an alumnus of the AUBG EMBA program. He has international experience in health policy advisory and health management. He has held C-level positions in distribution, retail, pharmaceutical production and marketing, hospitals networks and healthcare insurance. He has a Master’s in Medicine and a Master’s in Public Health from the Medical University in Sofia. Dr. Djambazov also holds a PhD from the Medical University in Pleven. He has published more than 100 scientific and hot-topic articles, co-authored more than 10 books, delivered more than 500 lectures as an industry speaker and while teaching. For the past four years, he has been active in heath policy advisory and advising large health investment in Africa, Central and South-East Asia.

Vitkor Serafimov

Topics in Management:
Legal Aspects of Management

Victor Serafimov is a Bulgarian-based lawyer with extensive experience in media management. He graduated from Sofia University, specialized at Cambridge University and then did a PhD in International law and International Relations. He recently also completed the AUBG EMBA Program. His professional career started with legal practice, followed by memberships in the Management boards of the Bulgarian National Radio and later on the Bulgarian National Television.

Valdrin Lluka

Topics in Management:
Business Model Generation

Mr. Lluka graduated with an Economics major and a minor in Information Systems from AUBG. He did an MBA in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, which is ranked 31st in the World by Times Higher Education in Business and Economics. He worked as the General Director of the Kosovo Investment and Enterprise Support Agency and was the Minister of Economic Development in Kosovo from September 2017 to February 2020. Mr. Lluka is now the Chief Growth Officer of Solaborate Inc., a fast-growing health technology start-up. He was the commencement speaker at AUBG’s Commencement Ceremony in May 2019.

Valdrin Lluka was part of the 30 Game-Changers recognized by AUBG for the 30th Anniversary of the university.
