The second floor of AUBG’s Main Building transformed into a vibrant gallery space to mark the end of the Fall 2024 semester for Prof. Dessislava Ilieva’s Introduction to Photography class. The exhibition, titled “Through the Lens,” showcased a diverse range of photographic styles and perspectives, capturing the essence of everyday life and inspiring viewers with the students’ creativity.
The young photographers spent a semester developing their visual curiosity about the world, seeking out unique moments and stories and capturing them. The images ranged from landscapes and portraits to thought-provoking street photography. Each photograph told a story, inviting viewers to pause and reflect on the world around them.
Sharing his experience, Petar, a second-year student, further emphasized the course’s focus on practical skills: “I learned a lot of techniques – composition, lighting, everything, really. It’s definitely different from what you might expect in a typical university course. It’s a fantastic way to explore a new hobby and see where it might take you.”
