AUBG Celebrates Academic Excellence in Latest Rankings

In 2023, AUBG maintains its position among the top institutions in the Bulgarian University Rankings. AUBG stands out in various academic disciplines, securing leading positions in Business Administration and Journalism and Mass Communication, sharing top ranks in Economics and Computer Science, and securing a strong position in Political Science.

  • Business Administration:

AUBG traditionally claims the top spot in Business Administration, showcasing not only academic success but also tangible career acomplishments for its graduates. The program boasts the highest income and lowest unemployment rate among its alumni, a testament to the quality of education and practical skills gained at AUBG.

  • Economics:

A shared No. 1 position with Sofia University emphasizes AUBG’s commitment to equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed for a competitive job market. The joint lowest unemployment rate underlines the success of AUBG Economics graduates in securing meaningful employment opportunities.

  • Journalism and Mass Communication:

Securing the second spot in Journalism and Mass Communication, AUBG sets the standard for media education in Bulgaria. The program achieves the highest income and the lowest unemployment rate among graduates, highlighting the real-world applicability of the skills acquired at AUBG.

  • Political Science and European Studies:

AUBG’s excellence in the field of Political Science takes the second position. The program boasts the lowest unemployment rate, reaffirming the university’s dedication to preparing students for impactful careers in the political landscape.

  • Computer Science:

AUBG’s Computer Science program secured the second position alongside the Technical University of Sofia. The program, however, boasts the lowest unemployment rate, emphasizing the high demand for AUBG Computer Science graduates in the technology industry.

The Bulgarian University Ranking System aims to support students in their choice of university. It ranks 52 universities accredited in the country, grouping academic disciplines offered into professional fields. It takes into account more than 100 indicators, including teaching and learning, university environment, welfare and administrative services, science and research, prestige, career development, relevance to the labor market, and regional engagement. 

The evaluated professional fields AUBG programs fit into are Administration and Management (Business Administration), Economics, Informatics and Computer Science (Computer Science; Information Systems), Political Science (European Studies; Political Science and International Relations), and Public Communication and Information Sciences (Journalism and Mass Communication).
