Luís Filipe Lages (Ph.D. Warwick, Post-Doc MIT & Stanford) is the Creator of the Value Creation Wheel. He is a Full Professor at Nova School of Business and Economics, Lisbon, Portugal. He held(s) visiting positions in several schools across the globe such as AUGB, London Business School, MIT-Engineering School, MIT-Sloan School of Management and Stanford-Graduate School of Business. His fields of consultancy, teaching and research are problem-solving, value creation, marketing strategy, international marketing, innovation and technology transfer to the market. His work has been presented to corporate, business, governmental and university audiences across the globe and appeared in the main international business media such as Time & Wall Street Journal. He has spent over two decades developing the Value Creation Wheel (VCW), a real-life problem-solving framework that helps to solve the top priority problems, challenges and paradoxes of organizations (from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies), governments, societies, and individuals.

His research has been published in more than 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and over 100 conference proceedings. His work in the fields of Innovation, Value Creation, Marketing, and International Business is published in leading refereed journals such as Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, Journal of International Marketing, Journal of Engineering and Technology Management, and R&D Management. Among others, he is on the Editorial Board of International Marketing Review.
