Guest Lecture: “Our Celestial Clockwork”, by Prof. Richard Kerner of the Sorbonne University

Professor Kerner has made numerous important contributions in the fields of gravitation, cosmology, field theory, solid-state physics, and also on noncommutative geometry and quantum field theory. He has also inspired a large number of junior researchers, many of whom now pursue a successful academic career. Over the decades, he has motivated and established many fruitful collaborations. He is the author of over 200 scientific publications, including several books on physics. His general lecture will be about his latest book, published in 2021 “Our Celestial Clockwork: From Ancient Origins To Modern Astronomy Of The Solar System.”

The lecture is organized by the AUBG Astronomy Club.
