- Permanence: The principal donation is invested, and only a portion of the annual earnings (4 %) is awarded as scholarships, ensuring the fund's sustainability.
- Impact: Endowed scholarships enable deserving students to receive a world-class education, regardless of financial circumstances.
- Legacy: Donors can name the scholarship and specify criteria for recipients (e.g., academic merit, financial need, or regional origin), making the endowment a personal and meaningful contribution.

The minimum donation required to establish an endowed scholarship at AUBG is $50,000. This amount provides a solid foundation for the scholarship to generate sufficient annual earnings to support students.
By establishing an endowed scholarship, donors create a long-term impact that helps students achieve their educational dreams while advancing the mission of AUBG in perpetuity.
The other type of scholarships available at AUBG are current use or non-endowed. These scholarships include named full scholarships at 16,000 EUR per student each year for four years, or named partial (50%) scholarships at 8,000 EUR per student each year for four years. Both full and partial scholarships will be named for the duration of the four years. At the end of the four years, the scholarship may be discontinued or continued, based on the agreed contract between the donor and AUBG.
For both full and partial scholarships, contracts between the donor and AUBG are signed at the beginning of the four-year period, and payment can be made in one lump sum at the beginning of the four-year period or in pledge payments on an annual basis over the course of the four years.

For a full scholarship, the cost is 16,000 EUR and includes tuition, room, and board. This is a named scholarship (for the duration of four years) and can include selection criteria defined in agreement with the donor and AUBG. The donor agrees to guarantee full payment of said student’s educational costs to study at AUBG for four years.

For partial scholarships, the cost is 8,000 EUR per year per student and includes tuition, room, and board. This is a named scholarship (for the duration of four years) and can include selection criteria defined in agreement with the donor and AUBG. The donor agrees to guarantee 50% payment of said student’s education costs at AUBG for four years.
General Scholarship Fund
Donations to AUBG’s General Scholarship Fund are contributions from donors wishing to contribute an amount under 8,000 EUR. The monies go into a general scholarship fund, and are awarded to students through AUBG’s scholarship and student support committees. The contributions to the General Scholarship Fund are not restricted by any criteria and do not offer any naming opportunities.
