Developing an appropriate marketing strategy is undoubtedly one of the most important activities for the management of any organization. Without an optimum marketing strategy, consumers will not be satisfied, sales will be lower than possible, and profits will be reduced. If management wants to compete effectively against competition, an optimal marketing strategy is required. This course uses gamification in education to address advanced marketing concepts. Students are expected to understand the fundamentals of marketing and be familiar with basic marketing theory and application. The course will address how to plan, develop, and control an effective strategy for the marketing of the firm's products. Decision making and application of marketing knowledge will be stressed through a combination of the MarkStrat simulation and real-life cases.
Prerequisites: Completion of BUS 2060 or ENT 2061 with a grade of C or better and junior standing.
