Topics in French Language, Literature, and Film

This course centers on the advanced study of particular aspects of the French language, literature, and film. It may focus on a literary movement or period; a specific genre (such as nouvelle, detective novel, autofiction, chanson, or fantasy); a theme represented in literature and film (e.g., travel, the city, or the quest for identity); or a famous French author (such as Victor Hugo, Marguerite Duras, or Jean-Marie Le Clézio). This course is taught in French. It may be repeated for credit on different topics.
