Psychology of Social Change

PSY 3005

This course is an introduction to the ecological and systems theories and their impact on human behavior, social institutions, culture, and other factors that influence the psychology of social change in individuals, groups, organizations, and whole communities. Students will apply community psychology theories to design a community intervention that addresses a specific social problem, creates and evaluates social change, and/or empowers marginalized groups to improve health and well-being.
