FLM 2000
This course offers an immersion into the world of film and television production, diving into the meticulous preparation that is needed in order to produce a film. It will explore the five pivotal stages of production: development, pre-production, production, post- production, and distribution.
Within this framework, students will gain an understanding of the multilayered craft of producing while simultaneously identifying potential career choices within the film and television industry. Over the duration of this course students will deconstruct the film crew hierarchy; analyse the five production phases; learn the fundamentals of budgeting and the production bible: from script to production.
Prerequisites: ENG 1002 and Junior Standing.
