Introduction to Abstract Algebra

This course offers an introduction to basic algebraic structures like groups, rings, integral domains, and fields. This course discusses fundamental structure theorems for factorization and discusses applications of general results to some specific and very important objects, such as symmetric groups, ring of integers, polynomial rings, and matrix rings. This course also covers splitting fields and roots of a polynomial, and polynomials with integer, rational, real, and complex coefficients.
