Conflict Management

This course introduces students to the skills necessary for successfully managing interpersonal, intragroup, and intergroup conflict in organizations. It examines organizational dynamics and the theory and nature of conflict in organizations, conceptual frameworks diagnosing and assessing conflict, and in developing and implementing appropriate interventions. It covers topics such as the nature of conflict, conflict management skills, common styles employed in managing conflict, conflict management strategies and steps, and the best and worst practices in managing conflict.
