Computer Architecture

COS 2035

This course examines the design and organization of modern computer systems by concentrating on the structure and operation of the processor, memory, and I/O subsystems, and the critical role of performance in driving computer design. This course also covers some of the issues involved in multiple processors and vector processing organizations and considers the implementation of the basic storage elements and circuits in digital logic, specifically with combinational and sequential circuits.
