This course introduces the basic concepts of computer science using the C++ programming language. Major topics covered include a review of the organization of a general computer, an introduction to algorithms, and a detailed description of programming constructs. Extensive lab exercises emphasize the use of the programming language’s facilities for computer problem solving, the application of a software development method, and the concept of a software life cycle.
