Advanced Spanish

MLL 4055

The course focuses on oral and written expression, grammar skills, and expansion of vocabulary to increase communicative fluency and accuracy at the advanced level. It provides students with the opportunity to improve their speaking proficiency in a variety of contexts through class discussions, group conversations, individual oral presentations, and projects. Students also develop their writing skills based on authentic Spanish texts, selected to illustrate styles and levels of contemporary written Spanish. The course provides continued reading and listening practice, and effective language learning strategies. It also fosters the study of topical issues in contemporary Spanish-speaking societies and cultures.
