Submission Guidelines
-
Submissions are open to AUBG faculty, staff, students, alumni, and affiliates.
-
- Relevance: Articles must align with the themes of information, democracy, and citizenship, particularly in the context of their impact on society, policy, and practice.
- Originality: Submissions must be original work and should not have been previously published elsewhere.
- Accessibility: While academic in nature, articles should be written in an accessible language, free of jargon, to engage a broad audience.
- Practical Implications: Highlight the real-world implications of the discussed research. Offer insights, recommendations, or pathways for applying academic findings to policy or practice.
-
- Length: Articles should not exceed 800 words. This constraint encourages clarity and conciseness, making research insights more digestible to a wider audience.
- Structure: Articles should have a clear introduction, body, and conclusion. Use headings and subheadings where appropriate to enhance readability.
- References: While the 800-word limit encourages brevity, any references to research or data should be cited in a short references section at the end of the article. Use APA (American Psychological Association) formatting for citations.
- Biography: Include a brief author biography (50 words maximum) at the end of your submission, highlighting your affiliation with AUBG and any relevant background or expertise.
-
- Preparation: Before submission, please ensure your article meets all the above guidelines.
- Submission: Submit your article as a Word document (.doc or .docx) via email to [email protected]. Include CIDC Insights in the subject line. In your email, please include your full name, affiliation with AUBG (e.g., student, faculty, alumni).
- Review: All submissions will undergo a review process for relevance, clarity, and alignment with CIDC’s mission. While we strive to provide feedback to all contributors, please note that not all submissions may be accepted for publication.
- Notification: Submissions will be considered on a rolling basis and published accordingly. You will be notified about the status of your submission within four weeks of submission. If your article is accepted, it may be subject to further editing in consultation with you to ensure alignment with CIDC Insights’ standards and style.
-
Accepted articles will be published on the CIDC website under the CIDC Insights section and may be promoted through our newsletters and social media channels.
