After its publication in 2020, and English translation by Angela Rodel in 2022, Georgi Gospodinov’s “Time Shelter” took the literary world by storm. In this video interview, Gospodinov and Rodel share their thoughts on what is hidden (beh)in(d) “Time Shelter”, how to draw a line between fiction and reality, what the peculiarities of literary translation are, why all stories are worth telling, and how language connects humanities and exact sciences.

Georgi Gospodinov is a Bulgarian writer, poet and playwright. He is the author of “Natural Novel”, “The Story Smuggler”, the award-winning “The Physics of Sorrow” and more. His works have been translated into 25 languages.
