Subject Week: “Women’s History Month”

A month to honor and acknowledge the contributions of women throughout history. Originally begun in Santa Rosa, California as a week-long acknowledgment to address the lack of women in school curriculum, the observance later expanded to the rest of the United States and was extended for the entire month of March.
