About the Bulgarian University Ranking System
The Bulgarian University Ranking System is designed to assist students in selecting a university of their choice. It evaluates 51 accredited institutions across the country, categorizing academic disciplines into professional fields. This ranking considers over 100 indicators, such as teaching quality, campus environment, student welfare and administrative services, research output, institutional prestige, career development opportunities, labor market relevance, and regional engagement.
In this edition of the Rating System, indicators of employment outcomes are calculated using data from the National Social Security Institute. It’s important to note that data for foreign students who have graduated from Bulgarian higher education institutions is not included in these calculations. The Rating System defines “graduates” as Bulgarian citizens who have received a diploma from a Bulgarian higher education institution in the relevant calendar year. This includes diplomas for professional bachelor’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees.
