AUBG Employee Spotlight: Kliment Bogdanov, Graduate and Executive Programs Recruiter

My role carries the challenges and rewards of meeting business professionals from different sectors of the economy and providing a deeper understanding of how the executive programs of AUBG (Executive MBA and Executive Master in Finance, Banking and Real Estate, tailor-made executive programs) can contribute to their personal and organizational growth. As a graduate and executive program recruiter, I have the unique opportunity to work with various departments of AUBG and be in the position to present the university as a one-of-a-kind hub of knowledge and sustainable development.

What is your role at AUBG? My role carries the challenges and rewards of meeting business professionals from different sectors of the economy and providing a deeper understanding of how the executive programs of AUBG (Executive MBA and Executive Master in Finance, Banking and Real Estate, tailor-made executive programs) can contribute to their personal and organizational growth. As a graduate and executive program recruiter, I have the unique opportunity to work with various departments of AUBG and be in the position to present the university as a one-of-a-kind hub of knowledge and sustainable development.

Tell us a little about your background? I have always worked in the field of educational services: a professional road that has led to two long term postings in Ethiopia and Iraq.

It has always seemed relevant that in order to convey messages of change and growth, an educator should be living his or her life to the fullest, close to the highest limits, based on personal reach. After all, how can we give something that we do not have?!  I was the Sales Director of a reputable educational company in Bulgaria when I was offered a spot at the AUBG Executive MBA. Four months later I was on the AUBG team, motivated by the exceptional work AUBG does in the region and for Bulgaria.

What is the most important project you have worked on recently?

The successful launch of the Executive Master in Finance, Banking and Real Estate, a joint venture between AUBG and SDA Bocconi School of Management, Milan, Italy has been the project that inspired me to join the Executive team of AUBG. Shaping the inaugurating cohort 1 has given the feeling of shaping not the future, but the future that has become a reality. The Crystal Clear Initiative, motivated by the pioneering vision of the Bulgarian Soft Drinks Association, has opened new horizons in terms of my professional development and has come in full accord with AUBG’s perspective of economic development. It is virtually impossible not to recognize the importance that our university carries in terms of innovation and educational development.

What do you like most about AUBG? The constant strive for excellence. As simple as that.  How does a normal day look like at your workplace?

Days are never the same. There is a mixture of internal and external meetings, prospecting activities, operational and strategic planning.

What is most rewarding about your job; what makes it all worthwhile?

Working toward a common vision comes with a high level of motivation. AUBG has a vision, has a purpose and also offers a lot of work towards achieving them both. It is motivating to be a part of a team that delivers results. What hobbies and interests do you have outside of work? I am a keen reader of all sorts of literature. Lately, I have started working on a project with a couple of colleagues from EMBA cohort 16.

hat’s something about you few people know? I barely speak but understand Amharic really well.  Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why? Ethiopia remains the place worth seeing again and again and again. In Ethiopia, people cry twice: one time when arriving and a second time when leaving.

If you could choose another profession, what would it be?

Have never thought about it.
