The AUBG Choir brought their voices to Norway, led by director Prof. Dr, Hristo Krotev and accompanist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikolina Kroteva.
On March 2, 2025, our talented choir delivered a breathtaking performance in Volda, captivating the audience with their harmonies and passion for music. They were invited by the mixed choir “Volda Vokal”, directed by Prof. Magnar Åm, who had previously performed at the XI International Festival „Meeting of Student Choirs” at AUBG and Sofia University last April. This visit to Norway marked the final stage of this collaborative musical initiative.
During their stay, the AUBG Choir performed twice – first in Hjørundfjord, nestled in the scenic “Norwegian Alps,” and then at a church in Volda. Since the concert took place on March 2, many Bulgarians living in Norway attended, making the event even more special and heartwarming.
The choir performed works by Mozart, Handel, and other classical composers, along with two Bulgarian folklore arrangements by Bulgarian authors. They concluded with popular American choral pieces and a heartfelt rendition of the AUBG student hymn. The warm applause that followed was a touching moment, especially from an audience known for its quiet appreciation.
Enjoy the performance!
