Sabina A. Wien, a communicative, empathetic, and open-minded educator, has been working for AUBG since the fall of 2006. Prior to becoming Dean of Students in July 2021, she was Director of the English Language Institute (April 2020-July 2021) and Adjunct Instructor of Bulgarian. Since the start of her “AUBG experience”, Sabina A. Wien has been mentoring co- and extra-curricular student initiatives. She has been a member of AUBG’s Epsilon Alpha Chapter of the Phi Beta Delta Honor Society for International Scholars since 2009 and a singer in the Bulgarian Folklore Choir “Svetlina” [Light] since its beginning in 2011. She is co-founder of the AUBG MultiTalent Quest – a unique international two-round competition for high school juniors that was launched in 2017 as a result of the exceptionally successful collaboration between alumni, faculty, staff, and students. Sabina A. Wien holds an MA in English and American Studies with a minor in German Studies from Sofia University (1998) and an MA in German as a Foreign Language/Intercultural German Studies (major), Slavic Studies: Bulgarian (minor), and Intercultural Communication (minor) from Ludwig Maximillian University (LMU) of Munich/ Germany.
