About Geneva Guerin
Geneva Guerin is a Canadian sustainability consultant who, for nearly 25 years, has contributed to weaving a tapestry of innovative tools and processes to help enable environmental and social resilience. With expertise in sustainability assessments, carbon footprint reduction, green building design and certification, and organisational change, her career began at a pivotal moment in the sustainable campuses movement. She was instrumental in deployment of one of the first comprehensive campus sustainability indicator frameworks, pioneering an approach that would later become the blueprint for universities and colleges across Canada and later worldwide. In the early 2000s, she spearheaded the expansion of these tools and processes to 55 post secondary institutions, establishing a legacy that empowered higher education to be active players in the global response to our most pressing ecological, economic, and social challenges. Her academic journey traversed Political Science, Communications, and Architecture & Engineering, blending disciplines to forge a holistic approach to her work. Beyond consulting, Geneva is also a documentary filmmaker. Ever the consummate student, she turns her lens toward new realms, delving deep into diverse film thematics.
