Tech Leader Transmetrics Advises AUBG Alumni on Career Success in the IT World

April 04, 2017

The representatives of Transmetrics, a successful AUBG alumni-run start-up company, visited campus on March 31 to meet students, share the company’s culture, and discuss the job opportunities the IT world offers. During the informal daytime session students could chat with AUBG alumni, ask for advice, share ideas and find out more about the job and internship openings at Transmetrics.

In the evening the CEO of the company, Asparuh Koev, and the head of customer delivery, Deyan Lazarov, shared their vision on how to build a successful career in a tech company. AUBG ’98 graduates talked about the current trends in the IT industry, as well as the preferred type of employees. “The best thing to differentiate yourself is to commit to a particular area and develop there,” Koev advised students. Being a passionate professional in one’s field of interest is as important as the soft skills, which the liberal art system offers. As Deyan Lazarov mentioned during his speech, “the skill of learning and being able to adapt” is drastically important for any employer.
