Shakespeare's Words

September 30, 2020

Shakespeare’s Words has been developed by Professor David Crystal (an honorary professor of linguistics at the University of Wales, Bangor, editor of The Penguin Encyclopedia), and is an excellent resource for scholars and students. Shakespeare’s Words is a glossary of over 50,000 words found in the Shakespeare’s work that could be misunderstood by or are unknown to a modern audience. It contains the full-text versions of the plays and poems, based on the New Penguin Shakespeare editions.

The access is provided within the University’s network and remotely.*
