AUBG Team Ranks Second in Bulgaria’s National Programming Competition

June 02, 2017

AUBG’s programming team won the silver at the twenty-fourth Bulgarian national programming competition. The stellar work of AUBG students Jimsher Skhirtladze, Emiljano Gjiriti, Euxhene Hasanaj and their coaches - professors Stoyan Bonev and Emil Kelevedjiev – helped the team bring home the silver medal for the second consecutive year.

This year’s competition took place on May 12-13 in Ruse. Each team had to solve 12 tasks for a period of five hours. The AUBG team managed to solve a total of seven tasks and ranked second after Sofia University, whose team won the gold with 10 solved tasks. The bronze medalist, the team of New Bulgarian University, also completed seven tasks but their time was worse than that of the AUBG team.

The AUBG community is looking forward to the start of the new academic year in September and the new successes it will bring.
