About Experian

We live in a world build on data. At Experian, we collect, protect and interpret data helping people and organizations make the right decisions. We solve challenges on a daily basis by investing in the future, through new technologies, talented people and innovations. Every day, our data and analytics are helping people and businesses achieve more, individuals access the financial services they need, people protect their identities and lives, and economies and societies flourish. The Experian Way is our unique and consistent way of working globally, informing how our people act and behave which shapes our culture. It relates to “how” we do things at Experian, which is as important as what we do.

Within Experian Bulgaria, we have a team of 1000+ professionals. Our office in Sofia is one of the company’s four strategic Global Delivery Centers and continues to grow. Under one roof at our Bulgarian office, we have over 40 different teams. The four main functions are Product Development, Analytics, Customer Service and Finance.

In Bulgaria, we have the largest team of professionals in Experian responsible for the development of new products. From fraud management tools to integrated custom solutions, our product development experts conceive, design, build and manage every one of the hundreds of innovative products and services we offer. We are proud to say that our experts use diverse technology stack and have the opportunity to build software solutions that help millions of customers to measure credit risk, prevent fraud and target marketing decisions better.

Our Sofia Analytics teams have over 10 years of experience in the creation and validation of robust analytical solutions for diverse clients – this includes support and development of analytical solutions for our customers as well as ad hoc data analysis.

The customer services teams are professionals who are the key point of contact for our customers providing an excellent level of support that exceeds the expectations. If you would like to be part of our customer service teams you will be provided with comprehensive training to support you with all the systems and product knowledge that you will require.

Experian’s financial functions are responsible for the financial, accounting, billing and receivable processes within the EMEA and UKI regions. More than 120 financial professionals are currently ensuring that our financial statements, analyses, billing schedules, and cash collections are timely and accurately handled to reflect our business achievements within the markets.

In addition to our four main functions, there is an increasing number of smaller teams contributing in different areas. They are usually part of more globally dispersed operations.

It is our employees though that are at the heart of Experian. No wonder why if you ask any of the Experian people what do they like best about the company the answer will most likely be “my colleagues”. Our aim is to find not only the people with the right experience but also individuals who will fit into our team and culture, who are not afraid to change the status quo. Having the needed technical skills and experience is important for us but they are simply not enough if they are not paired up with the Experian personality and attitude.

We also believe that a well-defined career path along with the right support to everyone’s career progression is the key to success. We are focused on providing the right means so that everyone can achieve her/his career goals – courses, mentorship, or whatever is needed for the person to grow. Part of our company DNA is to learn from one another and we have a strong tradition of senior professionals sharing their knowledge and experience with the junior colleagues and supporting them on their career path.

Moreover, we are committed to making our society better – with the help of our internal CSR committee we support a large number of social responsibility initiatives – from trees planting to the mentorship of children deprived of parental care. All our socially responsible colleagues are eligible to receive up to 3 more days off per year to devote to volunteering and giving back to the community. In 2018 we have spent more than 4,550 hours volunteering.

We are proud to be the first IT company to be recognized as a Top Employer in Bulgaria for 2019 by the Top Employers Institute. This seal serves as a reminder that we are a part of a global community of forward-thinking organizations that continue to strive for only the best “people first” practices, and this seal further cements our commitment to optimizing and improving our business performance. Further to that Forbes has put us on the list of the “World’s Most Innovative Companies” for the 5th time in a row.

Our plan for the future? Unlock the power of data for more and more customers and help them take the right decisions. We imagine doing that by innovating, inspiring, learning and growing together with both our employees and clients.
