Panitza Library journals collection is presented in paper and electronic formats. Over 1,000 print serial titles with more than 10,000 volumes are held in the Library. The current print periodicals subscription is 172 titles. The Library also provides 24/7 access to almost 40,000 unique full-text electronic titles.

Print Journals

The Print journals collection contains peer-reviewed journals and general magazines, foreign and domestic newspapers in various disciplines. It consists оf current and bound periodicals, mainly in English but also in other languages.
Panitza Library staff is available to provide assistance using the Library catalog, identifying collection holdings and searching periodical-related databases. All print periodicals are fully searchable in the Library catalog by journal title or publisher.
Most of the print periodicals can be used only within the Library. However, some popular magazines and journals of high interest can circulate for 3 days. Each item has a stamp on the front page to define its lending category.
Should you require back issues from the storage area, please contact a librarian at the Circulation Desk. Depending on their lending status, bound journals may be checked out at the Circulation Desk for a period of three days or used only in the Library. Journals cannot be reserved, held, or renewed.
Location of print materials:

  • Current journals - on the Ground floor (shelved alphabetically).
  • Current newspapers - Ground floor (sideways of the first two periodicals shelves).
  • Bound journal and newspapers  -  Periodicals compact shelves in the Basement.
Electronic Journals

A substantial number of periodicals is available online through the subscribed databases. To find a journal, go to the Library search box and click the EDS (One Search) tab.

You will be redirected to the EDS platform. By clicking on the Publications button, you can search simultaneously in all subscribed databases for a specific journal by title, ISSN/ISBN, or subject area.
