The AUBG Commencement Ceremony will take place on the Skaptopara campus, between Balkanski Academic Center and America for Bulgaria Student Center.
In the event of light rain, the ceremony remains outdoors, and guests and participants are advised to be prepared for such weather.
Should there be severe weather, the ceremony will take place in the America for Bulgaria Student Center.

6. Commencement Weekend program ends
All AUBG faculty members are invited to participate in the Academic Procession during commencement appropriately attired in academic regalia.
The style of the academic regalia — gown, hood, cap, and tassel, dates back to the 13th century. From these you can ascertain a great deal of information about the wearer. Every participant should be wearing regalia which will inform the observers of their highest academic degree, the general discipline in which they studied, and the university which awarded the degree. That is why all faculty participants in the academic procession are encouraged to bring their own academic attire and thus contribute to the festivity of the event.
All new faculty who may not have their own regalia, should contact the Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Faculty at: Jenny@aubg.edu
Reserved Seating for Faculty Guests
Each faculty member can invite one guest to the Commencement Ceremony on Sunday and/or the President's Reception on Saturday. To receive a guest ticket, stop by the Conferences & Events Office (ABF 6303) to get one. All guests should have their tickets with them during the entire event. This will help the student assistants find guests’ seats efficiently.
In the event of rain on Sunday, faculty guests can watch a live broadcast of the ceremony in the America for Bulgaria Student Center.
