In 1985 Nedyalko Delchev studied Literature in Veliko Tarnovo University, where he received a headache and was bored to death by scholastic course offerings. Next academic year he moved to Sofia and started his studies in the Law Department of Sofia University. For the next two years his family was happily foreseeing him in a velvet outfit, proclaiming justice, and performing up to the expectations of the respectful status quo. However, the stage of the court seemed to be too narrow for Delchev, and he suddenly derailed from what his parents thought would be a very promising career in law. He was spending his time in the theaters, art cinemas, fine art galleries and other inappropriate for one serious young man places… Finally he disappointed them completely by graduating from National Academy for Theatre and Cinema Arts (NATFIZ).The shameful fact occurred in 1992. None of his parents attended the sorrowful event. Actually there was no such event, because the diploma was given to his secretary.
Later on, Delchev studied Theatre Management in the UK and Film Studies – again in NATFIZ (he never stopped studying considering this as a state of mind rather than a process of obtaining a degree). More importantly, when Delchev was 21 years old he created a self-study plan with approximately 142 semesters and expected year of graduation: 2057.
Delchev has been part of 17 productions in professional theaters, 2 films, 5 exhibitions… He has writen13 articles about cultural life in London, 1 scenario, 1 play… Pottery, video, post card design…
