The American University in Bulgaria, a leading higher education institution in the country, is looking to hire a Bookstore Sales Assistant retail in the AUBG Campus Bookstore. Center. This is a full-time position, based in Blagoevgrad.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process suppliers’ requests and follow the daily, weekly and monthly promotions of the suppliers to achieve the best price and quality.
- Facilitate sales of all merchandize in the Bookstore: stationeries, logo items, textbook and service the students, office staff and faculties and all other outside customers.
- Provide sales support to students and store customers.
- Manage all the sales related
- Prepares daily reports on sales and turnover.
- Receives and process the deliveries and the accompanying documentation: stock receipts and invoices.
- Operates with the BP accounting program processing the invoices for deliveries, interdepartmental transfers and monthly reports for them and other reports required by Accounting Office
- Arranges and displays the merchandize in the Bookstore.
- Process the specific orders by AUBG offices for items not available in the Bookstore.
- Organize sending of stationeries for AUBG offices in the Main building.
- Assumes financial responsibility for all bookstore merchandize and makes stock inventory twice a year together with the Manager.
- Assists the Manager in selling of the textbooks and collecting the textbooks on the leasing program at the end of each semester.
- Keeps the Bookstore Manager informed promptly of any operating problems that arise.
- Participates in the educational forms for maintenance and enhancement of the professional qualification or for improvement of the professional skills organized or financed by the Employer.
- Participates in events (merchandise fairs and presentations) in order to improve and develop the Bookstore’s ability of being updated.
- Abides by workplace safety and health regulations
- Performs other assigned duties connected with the job.
REQUIREMENTS AND DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree is required;
- Experience in retail sales is required;
- Excellent verbal and written English skills is required;
- Excellent communication and sales skills;
- Computer literacy.
