1. Where is the Career Center located and when is it open?

We are located in America for Bulgaria Student Center, room #6202. Our hours are 8.00am – 5. 00 pm Monday through Friday during the fall and spring semesters. We are also open during most academic breaks, unless the entire University is closed.

2. Whom does the Career Center assist?

We work with all admitted students – any major, any class year. We also assist alumni, employers, faculty, staff, and parents.

3. What does the Career Center do?

We help our students and alumni make informed decisions about careers and/or graduate school. We also assist them with finding hands-on experience, locating full and part-time employment opportunities, and developing solid job search skills.

4. Do I need an appointment to speak with a staff member?

If you have a quick question, you can drop in for a 10-minute on-call session without an appointment. On-call hours are 1 – 4 pm Monday – Friday. During summers and holidays, our hours are modified. If additional time is needed, we can schedule an appointment for you.

5. I just graduated. Can the Career Center still help me?

Yes, Career Center has a number of services and activities directed to alumni. For more information, please check the Alumni section of our website.

6. When is the best time to register with the Career Center?

Registration is not required to use our services, and there is never a bad time to visit our office. We encourage all students to take advantage of our services as early as possible.

7. How can the Career Center help me find a part-time/full-time job or internship?

You can start by checking our website for basic job search information, strategies, and web resources. Then, stop by our office to explore our Occupational Library Resources and/or speak with a staff member to help you customize your job search.

8. Can the Career Center help me with my resume and/or cover letter?

We have numerous resources and provide assistance and feedback on resumes and cover letters. Simply print out your resume/cover letter and stop by during on-call hours for immediate assistance. No appointment needed.

9. What is the AUBGLink Mentor Program?

AUBGLink Mentor Program is a network of AUBG alumni and friends who are willing to contribute information and/or time to AUBG students (or alumni) exploring careers and graduate schools. Students are connected with an alumni or community professional in a career field that matches the students’ career interests. Mentor interactions clarify career questions, concerns, curiosities and goals. With the help of a mentor, students learn what it takes to make it in the "real world".
