Alumni Mentoring Program

Welcome to the AUBG Alumni Mentoring Program

The Alumni Mentoring Program connects juniors and seniors to alumni and provides them with an opportunity to establish a mutually rewarding relationship through one-on-one discussions on personal and professional goals.

The program aims to help students create their own connections outside the classroom. The students will get a chance to improve their knowledge and gain more experience in areas relevant to them. Mentors will have an opportunity to share their experience and offer advice and guidance to students on their future career path and development.

Alumni - You will:

  • Learn how to coach and mentor
  • Deepen your relationship with AUBG and the alumni community

Please note that the number of participants is limited. If you have not been accepted into the program at the time of applying and are still interested in taking part, you will have priority in the next round of applications.


Q&A

1. How long is the program/commitment?

The program is open from Sept. 27, 2021 to Jan. 21, 2022. Please check the timeline for the exact dates.

You are not required to continue the mentoring relationship beyond the completion of the program. In case the mentor and the mentee wish to continue their relationship, they are allowed to do so after the program ends. Please note that the AUBG and AAA will not bear any responsibility with regards to the mentoring relationship after the end of the program.

2. How will the match be made

The Alumni Mentoring Program Committee is responsible for making matches based on the information provided in the applications. We strongly advise you to list all your interests, goals, and relevant experience for better matching results.

3. How can I apply?

If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please fill out the form.

If you are interested in becoming a mentee, please fill out the form.

4. How many students can I mentor?

Alumni can mentor one student only.

5. How many mentors can a student have?

A student can have one mentor only.

6. Do I have to be in Blagoevgrad if I want to become a mentor/mentee?

No, the mentoring can be done online and in person. It is up to the mentor and the mentee to decide.

7. My mentor/mentee is not replying back – what should I do?
