Department Chair: Sean Homer

The Department of Arts, Languages and Literature supports the University's general education program by offering instruction in music, drama, visual arts, modern languages, written and oral communication, and literature of the English-speaking world and beyond. Courses offered by the department enhance students skills in French, German and Spanish. They support the development of rhetorical and communication skills in English. Finally they provide appreciation of and experience in the creative arts.

The Department of Arts, Languages and Literature is also the home of two minor programs – the minor in Fine Arts and the minor in Literature.
