Admission requirements and procedures are designed to help AUBG select from a qualified pool of students and at the same time to assist applicants by answering their questions. As the University offers education in the Liberal Arts tradition, meaning students take courses outside their major, the secondary school record should give assurance of success in these fields.

Applicants to the University are evaluated on the strength of their applications as a whole with consideration given to many different indications of a student's qualities and abilities: scholastic achievements, performance on standardized tests, extracurricular activities, and other personal experiences.
Admission Committee deliberations are confidential and students who are not admitted should not expect to receive a rationale for the committee's decision. Results are only revealed by mail or in person.
