AUBG Becomes Home of the 13th CELA Leadership AcademyJuly 21, 2017
Over 70 participants took part in the AUBG-hosted Thirteenth Leadership Academy of the Central Eurasia Leadership Alliance (CELA). The event gathered prominent figures from Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan earlier this month.
The participants were able to work together with mentors and lectors in order to exchange ideas for development. The Academy is part of CELA’s program to support the progress of the region’s most promising and forward-thinking leaders. Participants are selected among prominent figures in the fields of business, media and civil society from Caucasus, Central Asia and Afghanistan. The event involves series of intensive small group sessions, roleplays and simulations.
The creator of the innovative program is Bill Starnes (former partner in Trammell Crow International), who served as the Academy’s chief lector.
